In the old VRdirect app, the swirling was due to Apple making an update to gyroscope mode (when iOS 14 came out). Apple changed the gyroscope mode, so all apps developed for the previous gyroscope mode had a problem. Meanwhile, the problem is no longer present in the new VRdirect app. Please update to the new VRdirect app as this problem comes from the old iOS app version.
Note: the problem has only occurred on iOS devices running on iOS 14 or higher.
